This architecturally exquisite, four room canvas villa is 12m x 12m with a soaring 5m centre canopy room. The rooms off to each side are 3m x 5m with a wall height of 2.20m. Technical description:-
The main tent is 11m x 11m, however with the outer awning, full dimensions stretch to 12m x 12m. A frame supports the main structure with awnings traditionally pegged. The outer canvas is fire retarded BS 7837:1996, BS 5867 part 2 type B, CPAI 84:1995 Sec 6, NFPA 701 water resistant BS 3408 and rot-resistance in accordance with BS 2087. Interior linings are made of 100% cotton and fire retarded BS 7837:1996.
Frame poles are made of highly graded steel 48.6mm diameter (wall thickness 1.9mm) and fittings are made of 48.6mm (wall thickness 2.6mm). All the metal parts and poles are zinc coated in gold finish. To support the lower roof highly class pinewood poles with carved finials supplied. Specially designed lightweight anodized aluminum ground rails supplied to hold firmly walls to the ground.
Erection Method:-
All frame components are unloaded and laid out in their appropriate positions. First the central pyramid section of the frame is constructed; when this has been completed the inner pyramid lining is attached followed by the outer canvas. The central frame is then raised by means of a jack on two sides and 2 legs inserted, the other end is then raised with the help of two canopy jacks and the remaining 2 legs added.
At this stage the outer frame is added to the central frame starting from 1 corner, when this has been completed the outer roof canvas is added followed by the canvas sidewalls if required.
Next the inner linings are attached and finally the drapes are added to the structure if they are required.
The tent is now complete and readies any flooring to be added.
Dismantle Method:-
